First Steps with blinkl.io: Getting Started Guide

If you’re new to blinkl.io, this guide will walk you through your very first steps: from downloading the app to launching your first “blink” inside Adobe Premiere Pro. blinkl.io is designed to be fast, intuitive, and keyboard-friendly, so you can access your favorite tools and extensions instantly.

1. Download blinkl.io from the website

Start by going to blinkl.io and downloading the app for your operating system (Mac or Windows). The installer includes everything you need: the blinkl.io command bar and all available extensions such as Smoothify and SnapActions.

2. Follow the onboarding instructions

Once blinkl.io opens, follow the onboarding steps on screen. From this point on, you can use your keyboard for everything.

You’ll be asked to set your Hotkey, which is the shortcut you’ll use to launch blinkl.io anytime. You can keep the default shortcut or choose your own customized combination.

3. Connect your account or create a new one

Next, sign in with your blinkl.io account. If you don’t have one:

Click “I don’t have an account”
Enter your email
Open the message you receive and click “Connect”
Your account is created automatically and you’ll be taken to your Blinkl dashboard

Don’t forget to check your Spam or Promotions folder if the email doesn’t appear right away.

4. Open blinkl.io inside Premiere Pro

Once onboarding is complete, return to Adobe Premiere Pro. To open blinkl.io, simply press your Hotkey: there’s no need to open the Extension panel anymore.

blinkl.io appears instantly on top of your workspace, ready to run any command, extension, or effect.

5. Select a blink and start creating

Inside blinkl.io, type the action you want to run, we call these actions “blinks.” You can trigger:

Extensions like Smoothify and SnapActions

Use the search bar to find exactly what you need, then…

6. Press 'Enter' and you’re done!

Once the blink is selected, just press Enter to apply it. Premiere Pro executes the action instantly. This is where the magic happens: blinkl.io turns many-step editing workflows into a single keyboard action.
