DESCRIPTION

From sequence markers to chapters, without rebuilding the list by hand.

Marker Chapter reads the active sequence, sorts its markers by time, and builds editable chapter text in seconds.

Marker Chapter is a blinkl.io extension for Premiere Pro that reads sequence markers and turns their names and timestamps into a ready-to-edit chapter list.

Filter the source by marker color or individual marker, switch between MM:SS and H:MM:SS, then adjust the generated text before you copy or export it.

The result: chapter text that stays tied to the edit you already made, with validation feedback before you deliver it.

WORKFLOW

A chapter list that follows your timeline.

Read, refine, validate and deliver from one focused Premiere Pro panel.

Marker Chapter displays four named sequence markers and their generated chapter timestamps.
01 / Read

Start from the active sequence.

Marker Chapter reads sequence markers, keeps their names and colors, and sorts them by timestamp.

The blue sequence marker is excluded from the generated chapter list in Marker Chapter.
02 / Filter

Include only the markers you need.

Toggle complete marker colors or individual markers before generating the final list.

Marker Chapter warns that the list needs at least three chapters and adjusts the first timestamp to zero.
03 / Validate

Catch chapter-rule problems early.

The panel flags a non-zero first timestamp, fewer than three chapters, and gaps shorter than 10 seconds.

The exported marker-chapters.txt file contains four timestamped chapters.
04 / Deliver

Copy or export clean text.

Edit the generated text, copy it to the clipboard, or export it as marker-chapters.txt to a chosen folder or beside the Premiere Pro project.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Does Marker Chapter change my sequence markers?
No. The shipped workflow reads marker positions, names and colors, then builds chapter text in the panel; it does not write marker changes back to the sequence.
What timestamp formats are supported?
MM:SS and H:MM:SS. The first displayed chapter is set to zero so the list can satisfy the YouTube chapter rule.
What does Marker Chapter validate?
It flags fewer than three chapters, a first marker that had to be adjusted to zero, a first edited timestamp that is not zero, and adjacent timestamps less than 10 seconds apart.
Where is the file saved?
Choose any export folder, or use the Premiere Pro project's parent folder. The exported file is named marker-chapters.txt.
Which Adobe app is supported?
Marker Chapter is wired to Premiere Pro. The shipped manifest does not declare After Effects support.
